John Fare Estate is designed to investigate John Fare’s story, to preserve his legacy, and to support other artists or thinkers working with similar issues and strategies. John Fare Estate will produce its past and future at the same time, while unfolding the narrative of John and those who might have heard of him or those who want to be involved. The title for the series to encapsulate these developments is The Last Piece by John Fare. The Last Piece by John Fare is a long-term project in a number of episodes and scenes, in different parts of the world. We want to support the improbable, incredible and inadequate. Through selling work of artists invited to produce The Last Piece by John Fare it will try to raise funds for supporting artists and thinkers engaged in research of the exceptional and paradoxical. At the same time the John Fare Estate will have to produce its futures and pasts through these activities. The first artist to make his work for John Fare is Gabriel Lester. He will be the key medium of the show at gb agency in Paris, communicating not only the story of John Fare, but also works of other artists selected by John Fare Estate.
